ATK Spacecraft Systems and Services is currently recruiting for a Spacecraft Sr Program Manager who will report to the Vice President of Space Programs.

Description:
- Oversees each assigned Program.
- Represents ATK. Acts as the primary interface for program responsibility for organizations outside of the program.
- Acts as the primary link between ATK and the customer, and between assigned Programs and Senior Management. Build and manage customer relationships.
- Ensures our programs meet the requirements of the contract on time and within budget.
- Monitors and reports to management the progress of each functional element of the assigned product responsibility in terms of work, schedule and cost performance.
- Manages risks. Identifies potential issues and problems that could impact program performance, and takes proactive action to resolve issues regarding cost and schedule.
- Formulates strategic plans.
- Coordinates the activity of people in all departments associated with the program.
- Acts as hands on leader.
- Establishes and clearly communicates overall program objectives, mission, vision and strategy and leads team to achieve new heights!
- Challenges business impediments to excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- MBA preferred.
- BA/BS degree desired or the equivalent experience in engineering and business.
- Ability to acquire a Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required, which usually requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite. Active or recently active TS/SCI preferred.
- Seeking proven leadership skills. Requires extensive experience as a Program Manager on large cross-functional Spacecraft industry program teams - from contract proposal through product delivery.
- Preference is for current experience as a spacecraft bus or space vehicle program manager. May consider well qualified candidate with Payload Program Management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of spacecraft hardware components and subsystems functions is required.
- Excellent written and oral skills are required.
- Experience resolving technical, schedule, and cost problems related to the assigned program/product responsibility required. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) preferred.
- Seeking an assertive self starter, with the ability to accomplish goals outside of their functional group as well as being an excellent listener and motivator.
